Did you know that pel’n’an’ (пельнянь) is the national dish of Finno-Ugric peoples of Udmurtia Pelmeni (пельмени) are known all across Eurasia in some dumpling form or other\, largely associated in the wider world of cuisine as being (Imperial) Russian or Soviet or post-Soviet foods that are frozen\, quick to heat\, juicy and tasty.. But how to make them? How to enjoy them in a decolonialized alt-meat worldview that is not just wrapped up in war? We will explore this practice together.
